East Texas Beef Processors is a USDA-inspected harvest and processing facility dedicated to serving your domestic livestock needs with excellence and integrity. Our mission is not simply to be a custom processor — but to be the custom processor our customers can rely on with confidence.
We take pride in delivering a high-quality, carefully handled product from start to finish. All meat is vacuum packaged — primarily using advanced roll stock packaging — professionally labeled, and frozen to preserve freshness, without the addition of preservatives or meat additives.
As a federally inspected facility, we have a USDA inspector on-site who thoroughly inspects every animal, ensuring full compliance and the highest food safety standards. Beyond meeting regulations, we are committed to exceeding expectations through attention to detail, transparency, and dependable service.
At East Texas Beef Processors, we understand that every animal represents hard work and investment. That’s why we go above and beyond to process each one with care, precision, and respect — providing a product you can be proud to put on your table or sell to your customers.
The harvest fee includes harvest of the animal, skinning, evisceration, and the disposal of the inedible remains.
We ask that all customers refrain from feeding animals 24 hours before drop off. Withholding feed for 24 hours prior to slaughter helps reduce the amount of digestive material present during processing. This improves sanitation, reduces contamination risk, and allows for a safer and more efficient harvest process. Animals should still have access to clean drinking water during this time.
Remember to check your voicemail & emails for notice your animal is ready for pickup! Customers have 5 business days to pick up meat after notification. After that, a $25.00 per day charge will apply. There is a 30 day max hold time, after this time, product becomes available for donation, sale, or disposal. Smoked product will follow a similar but separate schedule.
All cattle 30 months of age and over must be fabricated into all boneless cuts and kidneys are disposed of per USDA Instructions. 9 CFR 310.22 For cattle over 30 months of age, USDA regulations require us to remove the backbone and certain other tissues from the carcass. Because of that requirement, we are not allowed to produce any bone-in cuts for such animals. Everything must be cut boneless to comply with federal food safety laws.
All animals must be in healthy condition and not be medicated in the 30 days prior to harvest.
